The above picture was taken
at the Floris Elementary School (which is now Frying Pan Park) My mother
wanted a picture of me, but I wasn't old enough to go to school yet. So,
on picture day, she dressed me up and took me up to school at the time
the photos were scheduled and got the photographer to shoot my photo as
well. (See how excited I am? I didn't get out much!) My sister's picture
shows her in a dress exactly like mine!
1952
I am not sure who took this picture. It shows me, my sister and brother and Don the dog, in front of the "upper barn" It was a dairy barn where my father used to milk the cows every morning and evening. I thiink this was on Easter or some other special occasion, because we didn't usually dress this way except for school!
1955
My father was featured in magazine article once, showing him driving a team of mules behind a plow. This was shot by the magazine photographer on that same day.
